Remember a couple weeks ago when Warner Bros. announced their slate of DC movies for the rest of this decade? Well, Marvel just made their announcement today! Phew! That's a lot of money being spent on superhero movies! (And I'm not complaining one bit)
2015 - THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON
2015 - ANT-MAN
2016 - CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR
2016 - DOCTOR STRANGE
2017 - GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2
2017 - THOR: RAGNAROK
2017 - BLACK PANTHER
2018 - THE AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR - Part 1
2018 - CAPTAIN MARVEL
2018 - INHUMANS
2019 - THE AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR - Part 2
Wow, that's a lot of stuff! It's so nice to read about it in an official capacity instead of long-gestating rumor blogs. If they manage to pull this thing off and there's never another Marvel movie made after 2019, I think this will be one heck of a decade to remember for movie fans.
Thanks for reading.

The New Comic So Far
I knew the new series was going to be a challenge, but I'm still motivated to keep going. I realized pretty early on that my goal of one page per weekday wasn't realistic so I dialed it back to three a week (M,W,F) and seems to be going okay. I just posted the 16th strip, which is halfway through what I'm considering the first "episode." Tentatively, each episode will be 32 strips long. I'm posting the comics on multiple sites, trying to find a new audience, which has been the most challenging element this time around. Maybe it's because there are so many other web comics out there these days, that it's difficult to stand out. That's something I'll have to figure out. Despite not getting a ton of feedback yet, I'm still having a lot of fun with the series. To those of you reading but aren't necessarily the type to leave comments, I want to thank you for sticking with me. I ask that you stick with me a little longer while I get a steady routine/schedule going. Thanks for reading, Jason
Simple Complications '23
2022 was a huge year for me. The short version is my family and I are now living in Indiana (until now we've been in Mississippi all our lives.) I've been working for high end printing and packaging company since September. It's the first "step up" job I've had since I was laid off in 2020 early on in the pandemic. It was a painful few years, but I'm off to a good start with this new year. Since my new job doesn't demand any overtime from me (a first) I actually have some time at home to spend on hobbies. I've been drawing, reading, watching shows I've missed and such. But I kept coming back to writing down ideas for comics. When I moved to Indiana, I learned that Indianapolis is literally called "Circle City" which just kinda blew my mind. Almost felt like the universe was trying to tell me something. With all that said, I've been working on a new ongoing series since November. I really struggled back and forth with whether I wanted to make a sequel series or reboot it. I had a lot of
VectoComics and WebToons
Hi, there! If you're looking for my new Circle City comics, I have transferred them to my new main account VectoComics. If you're interested, please add that account to your watchlist. I came "out of retirement" earlier this month and learned that so much has changed on DeviantArt in recent years and virtually all of my old friends and readers have moved on to other things. So after a couple weeks of posting new comics and not really finding an audience, I learned that I can not advertise on DA anymore, so gaining a new readership is somewhat difficult. With that said, I'm essentially starting over again with WebToons. Here are all the relevant links: Main Site: https://www.webtoons.com/en/challenge/circle-city-today/list?title_no=477403 New DA Account: https://www.deviantart.com/vectocomics Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/vectocomics/ As of now, I haven't decided if I'm going to reboot Circle City from scratch or not, but for now, the comic picks up a few years after the
Some Frustrations
Well, this is a little disheartening. It would seem that DA no longer offers adcasts, something I used to use to bring in new readers. I didn’t even realize they’d done away with most advertising on the new version of DA. That’s not really a bad thing from a viewer’s perspective, but it’s probably rough on anyone wanting to promote their accounts. I’ve been back on DA for about a week now with new comics and it would seem that 99% of everyone I knew has either deactivated their accounts or just abandoned them. I feel like I missed a pretty big event. Do any of you know if there was like a massive art migration or something? And coincidentally, last year I created a complete archive of ALL my comics on SmackJeeves with custom artwork, organized chapters and everything. Well, this past week I went to check on it and discovered that SmackJeeves was bought out by some company and all that customization is gone, thumbnails and all. The comics are still technically there but it’s impossible
